There is really not much to say here that was not already said when these events happened earlier. Moses continues to remind the people that they are a stiffed neck people and reminds them of their past. There are a few passages however that spoke out to me.
* Yet the Lord set His affections on your forefathers and loved them, and He chose you, their descendants, above all the nations.
* For the Lord your God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts NO bribes.
*Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.
Lastly I love the fact that Moses reminds them that God chose them not because they are so perfect and righteous that He is giving them this land, but because the other lands are so much more wicked.
All the above so much applies to all of us. We are His chosen people to. How? Because of Jesus Christ and the relationship we can have in Him. We are to Love our God like no other. He is to be first and foremost in our lives. We can never promise God something and not keep our end of the bargain. Yes, we have all been guilty of promises that we have not kept! And we are to keep His laws. How? Through reading of his word daily, through knowledge and through prayer. And lastly, we have to remember that we do not deserve to go to heaven. Not one of us is righteous enough or good enough to go there. However through the love that the Lord Jesus Christ gives us and through faith and forgiveness of sins, we have a golden ticket into the glorious gates of heaven.
