Psalm 42: David yearns for God as his enemies taunt him. Although heavily weighed down, he reminds himself to hope in God. He cries out to God for vindication, deeply disturbed at his enemies success. David determines to urgently seek God's presence and finds renewed assurance from God.
Psalm 53: Like Psalm 14, this psalm decrees the corruption of the human race and yearns for the establishment of God's kingdom.
Psalm 58: David rebukes judges who pervert justice and calls on God to judge them. The righteous can take comfort in the certainty that ultimately God will reward them while punishing their oppressors.
Psalm 81: Tradition identifies this psalm with the Feast of Tabernacles. Israel is to share the joyful celebration decreed by God at which His people recall His words to them.
Psalm 101: David expresses his commitment to his God of "love and justice". David will lead a blameless life. He will not permit his people to sin and will advise those whose walk, like his, is blameless.
