Solomon's Glory Fades

Man oh man did Solomon blow it! Here we have a man who is so almost perfect. He follows God, he is wiser then most men, he is strong, but like most, he has a weakness. Women. HE decides to go against not only God but all the wisdom he has and marry hundreds of woman that worship idols. So God tells him that he has failed and that his son will not be the King of Israel.

You know most rulers fall hard when they are at their peak. Either because of woman, money or too much pride. Solomon I guess is no different. The thing we can take home from this is the fact that no matter how strong we may thing we are we are never as strong as we are when we are faithful to the Lord. That is the peak of our strength. And when we fall away from that our strength dies out. Solomon is a picture perfect example of that.
