10 Commandments

After a 3 month journey the Israelites camp in front of Mt. Sinai. there God offers to make a covenant with the people which off a lot of benefits, however, it means that the people must obey God. The people agree rather hastily so preparations are made for the appearance of God at Siana. When the day comes God comes down on the top of the mountain in fire with thunder and lighting and an earthquake. Here God give Moses his law in the form of the 10 Commandments.

You see God really wants us all to obey him. He revealed His moral standards to us here and still as of today we are unable to live up to it all. Is that a bad thing? No, cause He clearly states we are an imperfect people. There is only on that is perfect. that is Jesus Christ. However, if we are consistently violating any one of the commandments, then it tells you that you are not living in fellowship with God. If you are constantly using God's name in vain, then how can you say you are in fellowship with Him. That is the 3rd commandment. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God. Look, it is very simple, but oh so hard. Do Not treat God lightly. he is Holy and all Powerful to do as He pleases. If He can make a mountain shake imagine what He can do in your life if you just try to obey the best you can!
